What is 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training?

A 200 hours YTTC can sound pretty intimidating at the beginning. Should I years of practice on the mat? How good does my posture have to be during meditation? How difficult are the tests to obtain certification? The truth is, our 200h YTTC can be experienced in many ways. If you’re a long-term practitioner, with a strong foundation and plenty of self-study before you come, after the tuition you will be ready to begin hosting your classes in your community. During our training, you will receive all the tools you need to get a deep understanding of how to create a class and how to share your passion with others.

Sometimes this course is taken by people that want to deeply connect with themselves or create a strong practice in their lives but are not interested in teaching others. We openly welcome those students too, as our trainings provide the safe space for everyone who is called within, often allowing for beautiful transformations to take place. We encourage you to listen your body and your heart. Fear not, as our classes are prepared for you to get the best out of them in a way that suit everyone, no matter what the level or intention is. Our shala is never a place of competition, but a space of deep listening using our body as a tool to hear within.

We offer an 18- and 21-days course that brings the mix of intensity, immersion and transformation. Our courses are shorter than most, allowing this experience to be shared by many more, however, we cover the same hours and topics that are required to offer you full certification. This brings its own beauty into the training, as our students are often able to fully integrate, face their limiting beliefs and take steps outside of their comfort zone, which in return brings beautiful transformations at the end, leaving many with memories and reflections that stay close to their hearts for a long time.

200 hours is just that, 200 hours taken from the infinite knowledge and wisdom that the path of Yoga has to offer to you, so what you will learn during these 18/21 days with us is the groundwork. You will cover the areas and topics that are required by international Yoga Alliance, like philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, asana clinic and different practices such as Kriyas, mantras and asanas, to show you the big change that can happen inside when you strictly give yourself to this practice. We take our trainings very seriously, we want you to learn and get the best out of your time with us, but at the same time we empower you into your right to choose your own path, meaning that we honour every master, every lineage and every path. We will never tell you that there is only one truth, because we believe you will find that in your heart.

When you train with us, you can expect 18/21 days of healthy food, ups and downs, unimaginable growth and an unforgettable experience surrounded by like-minded beings in a beautiful and nature-hugged paradise. We are here to support you in the path that walks you back home, the home within.
